The Urban Tran:SIT Programme

The Urban Tran:SIT Programme is a three year project between the City of Cape Town (CCT) and Sustainable Energy Africa (SEA).

The project is focussed on building capacity of government officials and integrating sustainable transport into decision-making at the City of Cape Town, specifically within the Transport Department.  The project will also look at transport's role in the large field of energy efficiency and climate change.

As part of the project a Sustainable Transport Professional has been appointed at the City of Cape Town to assist with the development and integration of sustainable transport.  Read the lastest edition of the e-Tran:SIT newsletter for more information on the CCT's Sustainable Transport Professional, Niki Covary.

Training opportunities around sustainable transport will be developed as part of this project and will be advertised on the website.
