Green Trust Awards 2002 - Finalist

SEED - Finalist in the 'Urban Environmental Sustainability' category

The Green Trust Award is a partnership between the Green Trust, subsidiary of WWF-SA, the Mail and Guardian and Nedbank. The Green Trust rewards those who are making a solid contribution to the environment.

Urban SEED was one of three finalists in this category along with the Greenhouse People's Environmental Centre and Abalimi Bezekhaya who were placed first - congratulations to Abalimi and thank you to the Trust for a very entertaining evening.

Urban SEED received an impressive Award Finalist plaque which reaffirms that we are playing a role in broadening the view of what constitutes environmental issues.

Urban SEED was strongly encouraged to enter again next year as SEED had sparked some good debate amongst the judges who agreed that this sector needs to be included in the awards more extensively.
