The 10 Point Plan: Solving the Electricity Crisis

Earthlife Africa, together with Sustainable Energy Africa (SEA), Congress of South African Trade Unions, the Southern African Faith Communities’ Environment Institute (SAFCEI) and the South African Climate Action Network (SACAN), has started a campaign to turn the current electricity crisis into an energy opportunity. Although the deficit of generation capacity has been billed as a crisis, it can also be seen as an opportunity to shift to a more long-term sustainable approach.

Capacity Building

SEA provides capacity building support to governments, civil society and communities, to strengthen their sustainable energy work.

Policy and Planning

SEA has undertaken energy policy, strategy development and general integrated energy planning work for national governments around Southern Africa, local governments, as well as for various rural areas.

Project Implementation

SEA is actively engaged in implementing projects around:

Transport

Transport systems in developing cities face unique challenges, with growing populations typically reliant on dirty and inefficient modes of private transport or inadequate public transport.

Other Projects

SEA has taken on a range of other projects.
