SEA has ben appointed to be the sustainable energy advisor for Joe Slovo phase 3, a development of 3000 high density Breaking New Ground (BNG) houses in the N2 Gateway, Cape Town. Key activities for the project include;

• Overseeing the implementation of various sustainable interventions, most notably solar water heaters, allocated for the project.
• Assessing  the effectiveness of these interventions through quantitative and qualitative surveys, and thermal energy modeling analysis of the development.
• Co-ordinate a community awareness programme.
• Feed a lessons learnt document into the National Department of Human Settlements housing policy development process.
