REEEP provided a second round of funding to support the further development of SWH mass implementation approaches in South Africa. This project provided support on several levels:

• Supported the establishment of a national SWH financing facility through; co-development of National SWH Strategy and providing a SWH strategic analysis for the Development Bank of South Africa.
• Finalised Cape Town’s SWH bylaw.
• Developed calls proposals for SWH business plans for both Ekurhuleni and Cape Town, and assisted in starting to set up City based support structures for the rollout.
• Developed a provincial SWH rollout strategy for the Western Cape.
