Due to the energy crisis recently experienced in the Western Cape, local authorities are starting to explore the compulsory installation of solar water heaters in certain buildings. The reports below look at the City of Cape Town's plans to introduce a by-law requiring solar water geysers to be installed in all new buildings in the City.
